N.H. Det. Fired, Charged In Hit-and-Run

A fired Manchester (N.H.) Police detective faces criminal charges after he allegedly lied to investigators about his involvement in a hit-and-run accident in nearby Bedford.
Detective Sergeant Stephen Coco turned himself in Tuesday, after Bedford police obtained a warrant for his arrest. Investigators matched paint found at the scene of the accident to Coco's departmental undercover Nissan Pathfinder. Coco was fired Monday for violating several standard operating procedures.
Coco allegedly struck and injured two Bedfor teens, Dean Drukker, 18, and Noah Hickman, 17. They were struck from behind by a dark-colored SUV about 9:20 p.m. Friday outside Hickman's 31 Harrod Lane home. The teens are recovering from their injuries, reports the Union Leader.
