The National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum has announced the 2019 Officers of the Month. These officers were nominated by their communities and law enforcement departments for actions that went above and beyond the scope of their regular law enforcement duties. They include acts of heroism and bravery, human kindness and self-sacrifice.
"We are extremely proud and honored to be able to call attention to this phenomenal group of officers," said National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund CEO Marcia Ferranto. "Law enforcement is a special calling, one that requires self-sacrifice and a commitment to keep our communities and citizens safe, regardless of the dangers they face. The fact that officers are willing to do that is remarkable in itself, but even among those brave men and women, there are those who stand out, and for that we are truly honored to be able to recognize them."
