Montana Officer Lauded for Rescuing Woman from Burning Vehicle

An officer with the Butte (MT) Police Department is being hailed for rescuing a woman who was trapped inside a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.  

According to KBZK-TV News , Officer Nick Butorovich has been awarded a departmental commendation for his efforts earlier this month.

Butorovich was first on the scene of the fire and was able to pull the woman from the vehicle shortly before fire and EMS personnel arrived.

The woman—whose name has not been released—is expected to fully recover.

Officer Butorovich is now recovering from burns he received during the incident.
