A Chesterfield (Mo.) Police detective collapsed and died while working out in the police gym on Tuesday.
Detective Christopher Simpson succumbed to a medical emergency at 5:05 p.m. at the Chesterfield Police Fitness Center. Simpson was a 35-year law enforcement veteran and had served the department for 25 years. He had also served with the Maplewood Police Department and Berkley Police Department.
