A homicide suspect shot and killed a Jackson (Miss.) Police detective Thursday inside police headquarters after overpowering the officer and taking his gun.
Detective Eric Smith was interviewing the suspect, when the two men began to argue. The suspect was able to disarm the officer during a scuffle, reports the Jackson Clarion-Ledger .
