A man in Minneapolis has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit claiming he was shoved to the ground by a Minneapolis police officer during an incident near the site where George Floyd died in police custody in May.

According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune , Andrew Browne had asked an officer why a suspected white supremacist who had smashed a window at Cup Foods—the site of the George Floyd memorial in south Minneapolis—was not being arrested for the vandalism.

The lawsuit alleges that Officer Nicholas Sciorrotta shoved the man to the ground without warning.
