Memphis Officer Shot While Serving Arrest Warrant

A Memphis, TN, police officer attempting to serve an arrest warrant was shot Wednesday morning and is reported to be in non-critical condition.

About 10:35 a.m., officers were attempting to serve an arrest warrant in an apartment complex. When one of the apartment’s occupants opened the door for officers, someone else fired shots at the officers from the back of the apartment, reports WMC .

According to police, officers did not return fire and as of late Wednesday afternoon the suspect is reported to still be barricaded inside the apartment. Two others from the department have been detained by police.
