Medical Marijuana Passes In Conn.

Connecticut became the 17th state in the nation to legalize marijuana for various medical ailments, when the state legislature passed a bill early Saturday authorizing its use.

Gov. Dannel Malloy said he looks forward to signing the bill when it reaches his desk, reports the Connecticut Post .

The bill would allow the state Department of Consumer Protection to set up as many as 10 secure indoor cultivation and distribution networks for people who are certified by doctors and pay a $25 fee.
