SEARCHOfficer Broman decided to take it upon himself to not only engage the individual, but to have a conversation with him and talk to him about possibly getting a job.
Officer Tim Broman of the Chelsea (MA) Police Department saw an opportunity to solve a problem on the streets in his jurisdiction. A panhandler named Corey had been begging motorists for money from in the median of a street in Broman’s beat.
Instead of issuing the man a citation, Officer Broman decided there was another solution to the situation. Broman drove the man to an employment agency.
“Officer Broman decided to take it upon himself to not only engage the individual have a conversation with him and talk to him about possibly in getting a job,” Bryan Kyes, Chelsea Chief of Police, told WBZ News .
