Officers with the Quincy (MA) Police Department welcomed into their ranks a one-year-old Belgian Malinois this week after the dog completed its training in patrol and EOD.
The agency posted a picture on Facebook with a caption that read, in part, "Please welcome K-9 Ragnar to QPD! Named after a Viking king."
K-9 Ragnar recently graduated from the Boston Police K-9 Academy and is certified by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Quincy police said.
