Maryland SRO Dies by Suicide in Personally Owned Vehicle

A deputy with the Charles County (MD) Sheriff's Office was found dead in his vehicle, which was badly mangled in a single vehicle crash on Thursday night.

According to WBAL Radio , Corporal Patrick "PJ" Mann died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound just before the crash.

Mann was a school resource officer assigned to St. Charles High School in Waldorf—he had previously worked at Matthew Henson Middle School, J.C. Parks Elementary School, and Mary B. Neal Elementary School.
