A New York judge has sentenced the man convicted of a 2019 stabbing that blinded Rochester Police Officer Denny Wright to serve 40 years to life in prison.
The attack happened Oct. 4, 2019, when Wright responded to a mental health call at a home. Keith Williams was convicted on one count of attempted murder and three other counts in May of this year.
During the trial, Wright described the attack and jurors viewed the officer's body-worn camera footage, reports WHEC .
