A Texas man is in jail with no bond after throwing chain saws at police during an hour-long, high-speed chase that spanned three counties and involved eight agencies, according to the Lufkin (Texas) Police Department, reports KTRE .
Officers say the incident began as a traffic stop by Lufkin police around 5:10 p.m. on a white Chevy truck driven by Richard Paul Kay, 27. Police say they tried to stop Kay for speeding on the west loop near Lotus Lane. Kay sped off from the traffic stop, and the officer noticed that his license plate didn’t look right, according to Lufkin PD.
