A New Jersey man holding a hypodermic needle and who appeared to be impaired reportedly lunged at officers responding to calls to check on the man's welfare.

According to LehighValleyLive.com , the man—identified as Anthony Cirlincione—charged at the officers before getting into a physical struggle with officers attempting to arrest him.

Cirlincione is facing two counts of aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

It was not immediately clear whether or not any of the responding officers suffered any injury.
