Man Back in Jail After Four Days

A Florida man gave police all the evidence they needed to quickly put him back behind bars.
Ronald A. Mahner arrived at the Sheriff’s Office four days after being released from Seminole County Jail for drunken driving, auto theft, and repeatedly driving with a suspended or revoked license. He was there to claim his personal property.
When a deputy asked to see identification, Mahner produced his driver’s license, which a computer check showed had been permanently revoked.
Dep. Teri Cresswell asked Mahner to drive around to the back of the lot. He did so, and was thus seen driving with a revoked license. He also parked in a fire lane.
Then someone else called in a computer check of the car’s tags. The car Mahner was driving had been reported stolen the day he was released from jail.
Mahner is back behind bars now. And his personal property is back at the Sheriff’s Office.
