A "mass casualty attack" targeting police was thwarted by Texas officials Monday after they learned a suspect allegedly made terroristic threats against officers.

"The FBI was notified of the suspect making terroristic threats against Corpus Christi officers," police said. "The FBI investigated the threats and secured an arrest warrant for the suspect."

Seth “Andrea” Gregori, 21, was arrested on a terroristic threats warrant by Corpus Christi Police Department, officers reported.
"The Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified of Gregori making terroristic threats against Corpus Christi Police Department Officers," police said in a statement. "The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the threats and secured an arrest warrant for Gregori."
Gregori was allegedly planning an attack on police "similar to the 2016 Dallas ambush," the FBI said.
In the 2016 incident, five Dallas-area police officers were killed and nine were injured as a protest in Dallas was winding down and a sniper opened fire.
