An off-duty Fayetteville, NC, police officer was shot in Sampson County on Monday night, and the alleged shooter was later shot and wounded when he drove toward officers, authorities said.
The Sampson County Sheriff's Office reported that the Fayetteville officer was shot off Maxwell Road in the Clement community around 8:50 p.m. ABC11 reported that the shooting occurred when a man got into an argument with the Fayetteville officer at the officer's home, reports the Fayetteville Observer .
