According to the Cincinnati Enquirer 23-year-old Wade Edward Winn appeared in court for his initial hearing with the appearance of being "disheveled, twitchy, and bruised."
Winn is accused of killing 20-year veteran Detective Bill Brewer and wounding 22-year veteran Lieutenant Nick DeRose during a 12-hour standoff that began on Saturday night and ended Sunday morning.
Winn has been charged with aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder.
