For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered to the left. His vehicle then traveled across both northbound lanes and struck a tree.

Louisiana State Police Troop F said its troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of South 2nd and Winnsboro Road in Monroe. The preliminary investigation revealed that Officer Christopher Beaudion, of the Monroe Police Department, was traveling south on South 2nd in his assigned Ford Crown Victoria.
For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered to the left. His vehicle then traveled across both northbound lanes and struck a tree, according to the Magnolia Reporter .
