Officer Brian Olliff, 52, served with the Nachitoches PD for 20 years.

Officer Brian Olliff died Saturday after suffering a heat-related medical event. He was working in the downtown district at the time.

Olliff also was a former Sabine Parish sheriff's school resource officer and a Natchitoches Parish sheriff's deputy. His son, Cody, is employed by NPSO, KTBS reports.
Olliff is survived by his his wife Kayla and sons Cody, Bailey, and Ethan.
