Los Angeles Police Historical Society Honored at Dinner
The LAPHS was honored by the SDPHS for its assistance in opening the San Diego Police Museum. The museum at 4710 College Ave. in San Diego opened last December in a renovated branch library building that had been acquire by the San Diego PD.
Executives of the Los Angeles Police Historical Society (LAPHS) were recently honored by the San Diego Police Historical Society for their assistance in establishing the San Diego Police Museum. Executives from the Los Angeles Police Historical Society (LAPHS) were the guests of honor at the San Diego Police Historic Society's (SDPHS) recent dinner.
The LAPHS was honored by the SDPHS for its assistance in opening the San Diego Police Museum. The museum at 4710 College Ave. in San Diego opened last December in a renovated branch library building that had been acquire by the San Diego PD.
The museum's collection includes a wide variety of artifacts from the 120-year history of the department, including a handwritten crime log from 1889, antique firearms and uniforms, early radio dispatch equipment, and historic photos of officers at work. Admission is free.
