A Long Island cabbie drove his vehicle into two Nassau County (N.Y.) Police officers, who returned fire to keep from being struck, the New York Daily News reported.
Thomas Moroughan, 26, pulled off the road at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday and parked behind the officers. After arguing with the off-duty officers, Moroughan drove his vehicle toward them. One officer fired, striking Moroughan in the chest and arm.
