Kentucky Trooper Suffers Minor Injuries Following Vehicle Pursuit

A trooper with the Kentucky State Police suffered minor injuries on Friday after a vehicle pursuit of a motorist who fled a traffic stop, according to the Lexington Herald-Ledger .

The trooper had been attempting to assist officers with the Frankfort Police Department who had been forced to back off their pursuit and called upon state troopers for assistance.

According to reports, one suspect was shot during the incident, while another allegedly attempted to run responding officers over with the suspect vehicle. 

The trooper has not been identified. An investigation remains ongoing.
