Kentucky Officer Struck By Car While Investigating Vehicle Break-In

An officer with the Louisville Metro Police Department was injured after being hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning.

According to the Courier Journal , the officer was investigating a vehicle break-in when he was struck by a black Kia Optima police say was driven by a suspect in the break-in.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle was later found abandoned at a nearby school. The driver remains at large.
