Ron Thomas is seeking unspecified damages for the death of Kelly Thomas , who died as a result of wounds from the officers. Thomas' chest was compressed and blood from his facial wounds entered his lungs.
The city has moved to terminate Officers Manuel Anthony Ramos, Joe Wolfe, and Cpl. Jay Cicinelli. In May, the city agreed to a $1 million settlement with Kelly's mother, Cathy Thomas.
