A 49-year-old man—who has not yet been identified by name—was shot and killed by Wichita, KS, police officers early Monday morning.
According to the Wichita Eagle, the man had been "sporadically" firing gunshots outside his home in the early morning hours of Memorial Day.
Police responded and attempted to give the man verbal commands to drop the weapon. The man reportedly turned the gun in their direction. Officers opened fire, fatally striking the man.
Two officers were shot in Gainesville, Florida, by a man who police say was leaving an area where he had killed a man inside a business. The suspect exited his vehicle in what the chief termed an “ambush-style” attack.
