Kansas Police Called to Capture Massive Snake Discovered by Postal Worker

Overland Park, KS, police posted images on Twitter of a massive Ball Python a postal worker discovered wrapped around a resident's mailbox.

Animal control was called, but the snake proved to be an adversary meriting the assistance of police. Officers arrived and "were able to wrangle the 20-pound serpent to its temporary home," according to KSHB-TV .

"The poor resident did not receive their mail today (obviously)," the Tweet said. "The @OPPD_PIO is trying to talk the Animal Control Officers to put the snake under the @OPPD_Chief desk, but they won't."
