A lawyer for the union representing UC Davis' campus police won a temporary restraining order because the report names officers and could contain potentially damaging information about them, reports the Sacramento Bee . Under state law, releasing such information is prohibited.
Officer John Pike, shown spraying protestors in footage of the incident, has had to change his phone number and leave home since his address went public, reports the San Francisco Chronicle . The union cited Pike's predicament in its request for a restraining order.
UC officials, however, said they would fight to have the full report released.
