Judge Approves Outside Jury for Ex-Officer Accused of Killing Antwon Rose
The ex-officer accused of shooting and killing 17-year-old Antwon Rose in June of 2018 will be allowed to have a jury from outside the area during his upcoming trial, a judge ruled on Monday.

The attorney for former East Pittsburgh officer Michael Rosfeld said that the media coverage of the incident would make it impossible for Rosfeld to receive a fair trial.
He argued first for a change of venue, and then for a change of venire—bringing in an outside jury.
Prosecutors argued against both, but Common Pleas Judge Alexander Bicket ruled that a change of venire was in the interest of Rosfeld's right to a speedy trial and impartial jury, according to the Tribune.
