The Big Boy Toy Auction hosted by Freije & Freije Auctioneers featured a 1994 Ford Mustang that was donated by a community member and purchased by John Jones Police Pursuit Vehicles for $28,000. Freije & Freije Auctioneers matched the purchase price of the Mustang, with a $28,000 donation.
From the $58,000, Deputy Zach Andry of the Orange County Sheriff’s Officer received $28,000 with the children’s hospital receiving the other half.
Deputy Andry was shot multiple times and critically wounded Jan. 3 while checking out a vehicle parked on the side of the road. Following 96 days of hospitalization and intensive rehabilitation, he recently returned home to continue his recovery. The funds raised will directly support his family’s ongoing needs.
“We were honored to support this cause,” said John Jones, president of John Jones Auto Group and John Jones Police Pursuit Vehicles. “Supporting local law enforcement and organizations like Shriners Children's Hospital is central to our values. We’re also deeply grateful to Freije & Freije for hosting the event and matching the donation—it’s an incredible example of the power of community.”
The 1994 Ford Mustang will be displayed at John Jones Police Pursuit Vehicles in Salem, Indiana.
