A 22-year-old Iowa man started off his 2010 by biting a police officer 11 minutes into the new year during a physical altercation with another patron of the Boogaloo Cafe in Burlington, The Hawk Eye reports.
Thaddeus Ray Purnell, 22, is charged in an initial police complaint with serious assault for the fight with the other patron and aggravated assault on a peace officer. Purnell also had a warrent for a probation violation.
