According to ABC News, the agency—which, like many others nationwide, is struggling to attract viable applicants—wants to make it easier for potential employees to clear the hurdles necessary to join the ranks.
Applicants will now only need an associate’s degree or 60 credits of course work.
In 2009, ISP had approximately 2,119 troopers—today that number is estimated to be about 1,767.
