The International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) will present a panel discussion on deadly force training during the Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) at SHOT Show later this month in Las Vegas.
The discussion titled "Firearms/Deadly Force Training Panel" is scheduled for 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 22 in the Marcello 4504 room in the Sands Convention Center.
"This panel discussion will bring together some of the top trainers in firearms/deadly force training to discuss some current issues and the questions, comments, and concerns offered by the attendees. The panel members represent a variety of backgrounds in law enforcement training," ILEETA says. This discussion topic has been a favorite at the annual ILEETA Conference for more than 15 years.
Moderator for the discussion is Harvey V. Hedden, executive director of ILEETA. Hedden served 38 years in law enforcement in ranks from patrolman to chief, including 22 years in narcotics enforcement. He has been a law enforcement trainer for 36 years, having trained thousands of officers in the U.S. and abroad in a variety of subject areas, including use of force, investigations, firearms and defensive tactics.
