Idaho Officer in Critical Condition After Being Shot Tuesday Morning, Suspect in Custody
A northern Idaho officer is in critical condition Tuesday after being shot by a suspect who stole his patrol car, led officers on a 125-mph chase and got dragged from under a semitrailer by a police dog and arrested, authorities said.

Coeur d'Alene police Sgt. Greg Moore was shot once around 1:30 a.m. after checking on a suspicious individual in a neighborhood, Police Chief Lee White told the Associated Press . Moore is being treated at a hospital, but the chief didn't provide information about the nature of his injuries.
Moore, a 16-year veteran of the department, called dispatch to get information on 26-year-old Jonathan Renfro, White said. Not long after, a resident called police.
The resident "had heard a noise that sounded like a gunshot and they shortly after said that there was a body lying in the street," White said at an early morning news conference.
The suspect reportedly stole Moore's patrol car after the shooting. An officer from nearby Post Falls who was listening to radio traffic about the incident saw a Coeur d'Alene police car race by at about 90 mph, so he gave chase close to the Washington state line, with speeds reaching 125 mph, Post Falls Police Chief Scott Haug said.
The suspect abandoned his car and tried to hide under a parked semitrailer in a Walmart parking lot. He was dragged out from the hiding spot by a police K-9 and arrested.
