"Agency training officers have to be up to speed with current trends and the ever-changing landscape in our judicial system. The need for updated, ongoing, and realistic firearms training has never been greater," IALEFI says.

The class also covers what IALEFI offers its members and how the organization can support law enforcement firearms training programs.

Presenters for this session are: Captain Greg Pickering, patrol commander for the Tualatin (OR) Police Department and director and third vice president for IALEFI; and Eric French, chief firearms instructor for the Tualatin Police Department. Pickering has more than 20 years of experience as a firearms instructor and emergency vehicle operations instructor. French is an IALEFI member with 20 years of experience as a police officer.
