Houston Officer Murdered on North Side of City

A Houston police sergeant was shot and killed near a motel in North Houston Monday afternoon. Police have not said if he was on duty or off duty.

Police told " target="_blank">KENS the officer was inside his vehicle when someone fired several shots. 

The unidentified sergeant stumbled into the nearby Taj Inn & Suites to get help but he died in the lobby.

A suspect has not been identified.
