According to the Star Advisor , a woman and her daughter died on Thursday in a house fire at the home of an officer serving with the Honolulu (HI) Police Department.

Neighbors identified the deceased as 33-year-old Connie Moribe Wharton and nine-month-old Sophia.
"We are supporting our officer during this heartbreaking tragedy," acting Honolulu Police Chief Jonathon Grems said in a statement. "We will continue to support him in the days to come."
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
