Dougherty County (Ga.) Police Lt. Cliff Rouse was fatally shot while searching for a suspect at a mobile home near a convenience store that has just been robbed at 10 p.m. Thursday, reports the Albany Herald.
The fatal 9mm round struck Lt. Rouse in the abdomen below his body armor. A second round struck his leg.
