A Bibb County, Ga., sheriff’s deputy assigned to the jail was fired Monday after her arrest on a charge of party to the crime of dogfighting, reports the Macon Telegraph .
The deputy was arrested following an internal investigation after a July 11 incident at her home in which injured dogs were found by sheriff’s patrol deputies helping animal control officers, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release. An internal investigation found evidence of dogfighting at the residence.
