Georgia's Board of Pardons and Paroles is now meeting to determine whether to grant clemency to Troy Anthony Davis or allow his execution set for Wednesday to go forward as planned. Davis sits on death row for the 1989 murder of an off-duty Savannah police officer, Mark Allen MacPhail.
Davis, who has always maintained his innocence, is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the state prison in Jackson.
