A former Cameron County (Texas) Sheriff's deputy has pleaded guilty to taking a payment to help smuggle 13 semi-automatic firearms into Mexico that would reach a drug cartel, reports The Monitor.
Deputy Jesus A. Longoria resigned Nov. 1, after he was arrested and charged. He had been with the department since 2006.
