Former NYPD Chief Blasts Mayor de Blasio for "Not Supporting" Police

Former NYPD chief Louis Anemone said Monday that Mayor Bill de Blasio does not sufficiently support police, leading to a climate in the Big Apple that led to recent incidents of young people dousing police officers with buckets of water.

According to Fox News , the current mayor's attitude toward police and his failure to take a leadership position in supporting the men and women of the NYPD is "a danger to the police."

"It’s disgraceful," Anemone told "Fox & Friends" in response to the videos of water-dousing attacks against police officers that went viral on social media last week.

Anemone added that under former Mayor Rudy Giuliani such attacks would not have been tolerated.
