The Pensacola (Fla.) Police Department is reviewing its policy on the use of less-lethal force, after an officer used a stun gun from his moving patrol car, PNJ.com reports.

Officer Jerald Ard fired his Taser as he chased a man who was fleeing on a bicycle Saturday morning in Brownsville. After the unidentified man fell off the bike, the car Ard was driving ran him over and killed him.

The department's policy doesn't carry a prohibition against officers using a Taser while driving, according to Police Chief John Mathis.
