Florida Officer Hit by Bus While Being Chased by Aggressive Dog

An officer with the Largo (FL) Police Department was struck by a passing bus as he attempted to create distance between himself and a dog that had been charging him in an aggressive manner.

According to Spectrum News , the officer had responded to a home due to a call of lost or stolen property, and upon arrival the dog began charging at the officer, who then backed away, directly into the path of a passing bus.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for what were termed non-life-threatening injuries.
