In response to the most recent government breach and leak of the personal information of Department of Homeland Security employees, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) National President Nathan Catura issued the following response:
"This series of hacks targeting various federal agencies has evolved from a troubling matter to a lethal threat. In this most recent incident of cyber terrorism, the personal information of thousands of U.S. government officials working in highly sensitive positions have been leaked to the Internet with the warning that more is to come. The men and women who work within federal law enforcement, homeland security, and the intelligence community target, investigate, and apprehend the very criminals responsible for these breaches, and failure to keep their personal information secure puts these individuals and their families in a grave situation.
