FL Officer Shot in Head Contacting Man in Suspicious Vehicle
Officer Jason Raynor, 26, was shot in the head while contacting a man in a suspicious vehicle at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.

A manhunt is under way in Florida for a man suspected of shooting and gravely wounding a Daytona Beach officer.
Officer Jason Raynor, 26, was shot in the head while contacting a man in a suspicious vehicle at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, ClickOrlando reports.
Raynor remains in critical condition after surgery, which Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young said was successful.
Young said multiple agencies are involved in the manhunt for the suspect, identified by authorities as Othal Wallace, 29.

A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Wallace.
“This entire county (Volusia) is on lockdown until we track this coward down. So I’m grateful for every agency that’s responded over here tonight to help us as they’re committed to staying out here until we get this coward in custody,” Young said.
