The Miami Police officer who was fired after a Florida trooper pulled him over for speeding says the chief promised he wouldn't be fired.
Officer Fausto Lopez , 36, spoke publicly Tuesday at an arbitration hearing to determine if he should be rehired, reports the Sun-Sentinel . Lopez was fired a year ago for a pattern of reckless driving. He was clocked driving 120 mph on the Florida Turnpike by a trooper in October of 2011.
