Davis held a news conference following his firing to defend his decision to attend the funeral for the man who fatally shot Sgt. Thomas Baitinger and Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz, saying he didn't want to "disavow the Lacy family."
Davis, who also skipped the funeral for Officer David Crawford , said he didn't attend the police funerals because it would be too painful for him.
