A Conway, AR, man has been arrested in connection with a the beating of a DC Metro Police officer during the riot last week in Washington, DC.

Authorities said Peter Francis Stager was seen in videos of the riot holding an American flag on a pole, then using that pole as a weapon to strike the officer who was working to secure the building.

FBI Special Agent William Kennedy told Fox 16 that Peter Francis Stager surrendered to federal and local law enforcement Thursday night at a local law firm.
