The House voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress late Thursday, making him the first sitting Cabinet member to be held in contempt.

On a 255-67 vote included 17 Democrats breaking ranks to vote with Republicans favoring the contempt vote, reports Fox News .

Earlier in the month, a House committee investigating the "Fast and Furious" gun operation voted to hold Holder in contempt, after President Obama refused to release documents pertaining to the case.
